Contemporary Art Advisory was founded in 2014 by Martina Alemani and Laura Brignoli to provide advisory services to contemporary art collectors, helping them to navigate the tangled art world.
Martina and Laura work closely with their clients to understand their passions, goals for their collections and acquisition budget. Upon definition of these criteria, market demand, and pricing history, the research of artists begins.
Contemporary Art Advisory provides research, professional advice regarding collection management, installation, shipping and framing, and more services to their clients.
Martina Alemani graduated from Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Visual Arts and obtained a Master’s Degree from CFP Riccardo Bauer in Photography and more specifically Cultural Heritage Photography.
In her work experiences she had the chance to cooperate with magazines, collectors, galleries, auction houses, fairs, artists, photographers, publishing houses, agencies and companies.
Formerly part of the Editorial Team at Kaleidoscope magazine, she is Senior Art Contributor at Cactus magazine and she contributed also at inCf magazine and Vogue Italia.
In 2017 Martina joined the New York-based New Art Advisors Alliance as a Member. From 2019 to 2023 she was appointed as Head of Art Department within Petricca & Co Capital Ltd.
Laura Brignoli graduated from the University of Milan in Art History and holds a Master in Communication and Organisation of Contemporary Art from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. She has worked as Gallery Assistant at The Flat - Massimo Carasi and as Executive Assistant at the Patricia Armocida Gallery.
In recent years she has had the opportunity to supervise all aspects of gallery sales and operations, as well as to collaborate with museums, other contemporary art galleries, art fairs and auction houses such as Sotheby's and Christie's. She is also involved in artist management.
She has curated a number of exhibitions with emerging artists, with a focus on women and social issues, with collaborations including the Essity-Nuvenia project and the Herat Art Academy for Afghan refugee artists.
Since 2020 she has been actively collaborating with The Maptique and Luisaviaroma, organising exclusive gallery tours in Milan.
